Journal Description

ISRA International Journal of Islamic Finance (IJIF) is a fully peer-reviewed refereed journal which publishes quality and in-depth articles in the areas of Islamic economics, Islamic banking and finance, Islamic capital markets, Islamic social finance, takāful (Islamic insurance) and Islamic financial law. The Journal is unique as it publishes not only articles of academic rigour but also articles by practitioners with experience in applied Islamic finance.


IIJIF is indexed and abstracted in several database services. On 12 April 2018, it was successfully accepted for inclusion in Scopus®, Elsevier’s abstract and citation database. It is also included in Clarivate Analytics’ Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) since 2017 and Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) since 2019.
